THE FOLLOWING IS A RECIPE GUIDE ON HOW TO USE YOUR

FEED TROUGH STARTERS!

Remember individual taste will vary.  This is a guide, and you can always make changes at your discretion.  We would love to hear from you about how you’ve loved our product and any changes that have been made. These recipes are designed for slow cooker meals, however, they can be slightly modified for an instaPot or prepared on a stove top with a skillet.  Setting your slow cooker to LOW you will need to allow 5-6 hours for cooking.  A HIGH setting will shorten the cooking time to 3-4 hours.

 

FEED TROUGH STARTER GUIDE FOR CAJUN

 

JAMBALAYA

Grocery List: Smoked Sausage, chicken, shrimp, crawfish – etc, 3 cups white rice.

In a slow cooker place 3 lbs of the above listed meats.  Your choice of ratios based upon what you like or don’t like. be sure meats are uncooked and 2 cups of water or liquid of your choice and 1 package of Feed Trough Starter CAJUN.Set your desired temperature. Prepare 3 cups of your favorite rice.  Once meat(s) are done combine cooked rice in with meat.  Chop a handful of scallions for a garnish. Serve JAMBALAYA in a bowl.  Enjoy!

RED BEANS AND RICE

Grocery List:  1 lb package of red beans, 12 oz Smoked Sausage, 3 cups of rice

Place the red beans in a slow cooker and follow the directions regarding the amount of liquid that is recommended on the package.  Add smoke sausage and 1 package of Feed Trough Starter CAJUN.  Set your desired temperature. Once the beans are soft they are done.  Prepare 3 cups of your favorite rice.  Pour red bean mixture over rice and enjoy!
